Just a Note

Well, I'm headed out to the bank, grocery store and Eye Doc's to pick up my new glasses. (Whew! Dag Nab-It, I wish I could have found some contacts that would work for me!! Or better yet, maybe the "cheaters" at the local drug store-they're cheap.) I have barely recovered from sticker shock over these crazy tri-focal glasses. Ginger, my dear, how DO you sleep at night charging these prices to our pour blind souls? Ok-so I didn't buy them from our dear friend Ginger, You're right...she would have probably given me a 89% discount.)

Anyways...I thought I'd grab a little snack before I head out so I don't have to shop on an empty stomach. No sir, no over-buying from an empty stomach for me! So being the health conscientious person that I am, I thought I'd better get a little protein to pump me up for the big job ahead. (I Reeeeeeaaaallly don't like to go grocery shopping.)

Good choice Diane; milk, eggs, nuts... yep, lots of protein- that fits the bill!

You healthy eaters crack me up!

Hey, sorry about the high prices. Yes, I agree, it's a sin! I do understand that selling glasses is job security for me, but it's just wrong what they cost. I got a free pair this week. I can't see a blasted thing through them. I had to send them back to the lab, but when I get them back I will have to snap a photo for you to see. I'm trying a new progressive lens for the labs study. That's how the free pair came to be. I'm blessed!

Hey, where's the picture of your new specs?

I'm with you... that is a v e r y
healthy meal... it has all the nutrients that a body needs !!!
and you are right tri-focals are a real pain in the neck (especially with the computer) but when you have to see you have to see... and tri-focals will do the trick... so we just have to grin and bare it !!!

Pistachio? I was just commenting to a friend how much I love this GREEN ice cream, and wondering if I could still find it in the stores. Perhaps so! :~)

I am RIGHT there with ya! Yesterday I desperately needed something to keep me going, so as soon as my toddler was down for a nap, it was over to the freezer for me. ;)

I agree with you about the price of good vision! This year the doc only changed my right prescription. I decided the frames were good for another go round. I saved a little by not having to do a left lens and new frames. Even then it was a little pricey!

Love your protein snack!

You've made a wise snack choice. Next time, invite one of us too, huh? :o)

I know what you mean about eye-glasses. I wear contacts and have learned there are **flat line bifocial contact lenses**!!! I'm beyond excited but have to wait 6 months before my insurance will pay for new eyes. I have regular eye glasses too, with a flat line bifocal. I tend towards vertigo so can't do the gradual bifocal. There's always something. :o)

Wearing my regular glasses (rather than contacts) while doing computer work, works best for me. But because of where the bifocal line is, I'd have to tilt my head back using the reading portion of my specs, to read the screen with any success. My solution. I wear my regular glasses and top them off with reading glasse for the top portion of my specs. My family says I look like a fly. Lovely. haha.

This was a fun post - made me chuckle out loud. :o)

Sometimes I can't pass up a dish of ice cream either. It is a favorite over here at our home.
