Requesting Blogger Help!!!!

Ok Ladies (and gents, if I have any male readers :-) I need some input on how to fix up my sad attempt to change out the header picture on my blog. I am using a blogger template and when I tried to insert a new header photo...it just stuck it on top of the template header as you can see above. So many of you have wonderful sites with lots of pictures and pretty headers and backgrounds, etc. I don't have a clue how to correct this issue...so if anyone can give me a little Lesson.... I'd be so grateful!! Thanks in advance for the help!!

I just love your header! My suggestion would be to try a different blog template. It musn't recognize that the old one is underneath so it just puts it on top.
Hope this helps,
Leigh Ann

Sorry Diane, I have not used any headings on my site, only templates.
I do my rerading after midnight. Always so much else to do during the day. Thanks for visiting. Have a great weekend your self.
Blessings

I love the picture, Diane. I think it has something to do with your template. I just found out that on my template, they are now offering the blog title to come up on the picture. That's probably not much help, but that's all I know about that!

I am simultaneously nodding in total understanding, laughing in delight, and groaning in sympathy. I wasted 3 solid weeks of my life last spring trying to figure out the same thing. Here is what I learned. Choose minima or whatever the basic thing is on the
template, then go to this site

http://blogger-tricks.blogspot.com/2007/02/adding-graphic-background-to-blog.html

where you will learn how to change your HTML and allow the text and the picture to go in the same area.

You have to change a couple of things in the HTML like number of widgets allowed and also the shaddowelements or something like that. And you also have to paste the source of your graphic into the HTML. It is tricky but if I can do it anyone can. I am illiterate with this stuff. Karen (above) tried to help me but she apparently has a different set up than I did. Mine was a little trickier. That web site should help you.

OH, good luck my friend. I'll check back and see how you're looking.

Thank you ladies for coming to my rescue with ideas and suggestions. I'm still working on this (as you can see) and now am trying to figure out how to tone down the Pepto Bismol Pink color!!
