Gas Prices Too High...Consider This
Do you think a gallon of gas is expensive?
Just put things a bit in perspective.
Diet Coke 12 oz $0.50..........$5.34
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 .........$9. 52 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25.......... $10.00 per gallon
Gatorade 20 oz $1.59..........$10.17 per gallon
Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29..........$10.32 per gallon
Whiteout 7 oz $1.39..........$25.42 per gallon
Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15..........$33.60 per gallon
Scope 1.5 oz $0.99..........$84.48 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85..........$123.20 per gallon
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35..........$178.13 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...
Evian water 9 oz $1.49....... ...$21.19 per gallon?! $21.19 for WATER - and the buyers don't even know the source. (Did I mention that Evian spelled backwards is Naive?)

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, or heaven forbid Pepto Bismal or Nyquil!

Sorry but this doesn't ease the pain for me!!!!! Guess because I don't buy or drink bottled water and I buy a bottle of Pepto Bismol about every 2 years :o)
Nice to meet you! A complete stranger turned to me at the gas pump the other day and remarked, "With gas prices like these, and we're still lining up!" I had to chuckle. I guess a little more thoughtful planning our our car usuage is in order. Thanks for the information!
Hugs 'n prayers, e-Mom
Hi Diane! Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. : ) I sure have enjoyed reading yours--and will be back! I love all the pictures of your beautiful family and I especially enjoyed reading your post "Letting Go" and the tribute to your "three Moms".
We seem to have some things in common--like favorite movies (anything Jane Austen and I *LOVE* Napolean Dynomite!) and music tastes. I also have a daughter named Ashleigh (spelled a little different).
Blessings to you!
Mishel
Ha! That was a great list!!!

Gasoline prices are high, but this certainly puts it in perspective, doesn't it.
We live near the oil refineries and our prices are among the highest in the nation for gas!
:)
Funny! But it doesn't help:) I guess because we use more gas than all of the above!!
However, I will try and not complain. I am just glad that my husband only has two more days of an hour and a half commute one way.
Blessings,
Trella
This was a set of amazing facts. I always think the same thing of a postage stamp. How cheap it really is to send a greeting across the country in 3 days. By mail. Which is so much more special than email.
I caught up on your blog. I love the pictures of you and your girls.
Thanks for coming to my retirement party. Your comment was hilarious. Don't I wish I looked like Laura Petrie? Man she was a cutie.
Have a great week Diane. Fun to visit with you.
Evian spelled backwards is Naive? I NEVER knew that - how funny - and appropriate!!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog - I am enjoying yours. I have 4 daughters - it's such a privilege isn't it! I am adding you to my favorite list and I look forward to getting to "know" you better!
That is true, but gas still seems so expensive.
