Snakes, Llamas and other Critters
This is an albino Burmese Python-picture courtesy of Wikipedia
This is also an albino Burmese Pynthon's head...up close and personal. Brought to you by my camera and of course the "Petting Zoo" at a community event our church hosted last weekend. I was asked to be photographer...and I had way too much fun!!

(dark ages...you know...when my hair was dark...before all this gray)

Meg, you would have LOVED this little lady...she was a real friendly gal and we got along great!
She liked me because I fed her...
and she also decided she liked my camera. She wanted to eat my lens. Bad Llama.

As you can tell I hung out around the Petting Zoo alot Sunday afternoon.

From time to time we do "just for fun" type events open to our community. Someplace safe and exciting to bring the kids and enjoy some family time together. They called it "Western Days" (we do live in Texas you know), had a free lunch and all sorts of activites for the kids. That evening we wrapped up the day with a nice dinner for the adults and a comedy show that kept us all cracking up. I'll spare you the other 437 pictures I edited and handed in to the church yesterday...but suffice it to say, it was an enjoyable day!!

Can I just say, "Ewwwww!" to the snake, not the other creatures!
Great pictures. You will NEVER see me with a snake in my hands or wrapped around me. I flat out can not stand them.

Ugh! You lost me on the double-decker snake. How brave you are!
Yes, my mouth is hanging on the floor. Are you nuts?! You Texans are quite the fun bunch of people, but I am not coming down your way and holding a snake....NEVER!
The shots are all great. Love seeing your pretty face.
When you said you worked on your photos from your church event I was thinking a pot blessing and tons of people pictures...
....silly me!
Great photos!
And you are one brave woman to hold that snake! Yikes! : )
great pics. the snakes are very cool. i used to have a 7 foot burmese python. we got it when it was about a foot and watched it continue to grow until we felt like we couldn't handle it anymore.
snakes are cool :D
The llama is cute, the snakes...not so much!
Hi Diane - fun pictures - although I'm not too sure about those snakes! LOL
Wow. You are brave. Ugh.
Love your pics! I had fun holding the snake with you. We are back from Africa and someday I'll post pics. I know I'll be posting pics on Facebook, so I'll send you the link when I do. See you soon!

I came over to say hi since it's been awhile...and what incredible photos!
And you know what? I remember that photo you posted some time ago of you years ago with a python!
You are brave, that's all I have to say! ;)
I'm laughing at the others comments.
My exact thoughts were: I would never touch a snake either. Maybe a llama or a turtle.
Just stopping by to say hello.
I've missed you and everyone in the blog world. I am working on a post right now..so if you get a chance come by my blog when you can.
wow,
what a wonderful and fun day...and sponsored by the church to boot...I would say a fun day was had by all..including the animals...
but you can keep the snakes...I am not very fond of them as all...
PS...from Kim at ross country cottage...
I have to say that this grandson is lucky to have the kind of grandma who will pick up a snake. He's probably going to love that one day!
